Question
HI, I AM 6 WEEKS POST OP AND AM STILL GETTING PAIN IN THE GROIN AS WELL AS A SNAGGING FEELING IN THE CHEEK OF MY BUTTOCK.I AM ALSO GETTING AN ODD FEELING BEHIND MY KNEECAP AT THE SAME TIME OF GROIN PAIN. DURING SURGERY, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT I HAVE SYNOVIAL OESTEOCHONDROMATOSIS. CAN YOU TELL ME IF THIS IS GOING TO BE THE CAUSE OF MY PAIN AND IF I WILL HAVE TO HAVE MORE SURGERY PLEAS?

Answer
Hi Sue

Six weeks post op is not a very long time and it's not uncommon to still have pain at that time.  The odd feeling behind your kneecap may be nerve related.  Ask your doctor about that.  As far as the synovial oesteochondromatosis, I have no experience in that and therefore cannot answer that part of your question.
