Question
hello sir..well i got an ankle sprain 2 months before & it comes with swelling and bruising indication, so i got plaster for 20 days. initally also i asked some Q related to ankle sprain & thanx for the suggestion u gave me.
so now my ankle i can say come in normal condition, with no pain while walking or even running, but still some pain is there in my tendon achilles when it is stretch out, while i am tryig to moving my foot in toward my leg.

so almost 10 weeks r over now & i dont have any kind of ankle pain with my, but still i am feeling that my ankle is not at its 100 %, i am still afraid that if i am starting to play games , it might be gettng damage again, in other words, i loose my control over my ankle.

so do i have to go back to sports this time or i have to wait for some more time & have to give more rest to my ankle??

Answer
Hi Ashish,

You should have some physiotherapy to work on strengthening the ankle and surrounding muscles and work on your balance and proprioception skills on the ankle before returning to sport related activities.

if you return too fast you will re-injure the ankle.
I would get the doctor to send you to a physiotherpay clinic somewhere close to you and get the rehab done on the ankle so you can return with a strong and supportive ankle.

If you are running on it then the proper rehab should not be to long.
