Question
The doctors have advised my husband too that he has to make his leg thighs strong.  Can you suggest me how my husband can do this means the kind of food he has to take and also the kind of exercises that he may have to do ?

Answer
Shurti,

I would first suggest he eats plenty of protein. He must eat protein to make the muscles strong. Its needed to help the muscles grow and strengthen. The muscles crave protein along with the rest of our body.

To answer what exercises to do will depend on what he can do.
For instance working on partial mini-squats is one way to strengthen the thighs.

Working on seated leg extensions with weight on the end of his leg is another.
Straight leg raises while laying down is another that can be done 10-20 times twice a day.

These are just three he should start with to get the results he needs.
There are more advanced exercises out there but he needs to get the basics down first and as long as they are pain free.
