Walking Hip Pain

Question
Hi,
I am a 16 year old guy and for the last 3 months I have had a pain in my right hip sort of by where it attaches on the front side it hurts mostly when I walk or sometimes just randomly it has gotten a bit worse overtime any help is appreciated thanks.

Dear Kaleb,

Unless you have arthritis in the family-sounds like a muscle pull of the hip. Try to rest it and avoid movements that hurt for a minimum of 2 weeks, perhaps try some Advil, Tylenol or Alleve for a few days,try icing the area and see if it appears to be muscle related. If the pain worsens, or the are is warm-then go see an orthopedist.
