Question
QUESTION: I am a 19 year old female. When I was 11 I was told I have Spinia Bifida Occulta (from an X - Ray i was having of my hips) in my bottom vertebras. My main question is could this be related to this horrible pain that has gradually come up in the past few months? It really points to it being nerve pain how it feels and where it is. It originates from the lower back, wraps around my hips, and stabs down to my knees. Sometimes my legs and feet get tingly and on rare occasions numb at my feet. I usually have a high tolerance for pain but this puts me in tears almost every night now. It is just getting worse and worse every day. I feel more pain at night than I do when I wake up but it constantly hurts. Could my deformity be connected to my current pain?? What can I do or who should I see to relieve this paralyzing pain?

ANSWER: Christina,
What you are experiencing may very well be the expression of your lower spinal cord trouble, and is certainly the effect of nervous system interference in your body.  The best Nervous System Doctors in the world are Upper Cervical Specific Doctors of Chiropractic.  These Doctors are specially trained to detect and correct nervous system interference at the brainstem level.  The brainstem is "Houston control" of your body, all messages are sent through the brainstem that allow for normal function.
If you would like a referral, just send me your town and state, and I will send you at least one contact.  Remember, this is the single greatest thing that you could do for your health, and this is also the most conservative.  If you continue to have trouble in a year or two from now, then you could look into more aggressive forms of care, but this is the sensible place to start.

QUESTION: I live in Clarksville, TN and am willing to go to Nashville. I have Tricare (military insurance) so if you would know any good people to see that take Tricare, that would be greatly appreciated. I've made an appointment with my provider to get a refferal but would like to have some names to ask for. Thank you so much!! You've relieved a load of stress off me.

Answer
Christina,
I have found you someone in TN.  His name is Paul Toney and he is in Mc Minnville, TN.  In case that is too far for you, I have found you a terrific doctor in Bowling Green, KY.  I think that the KY doctor is closer, and he would actually come at a higher recommendation for you.  His information is below, and he is the one that can help you to get well, stay positive and follow his recommendations for the best possible outcome.  I wish you nothing but the best in your recovery back to health!
