Question
Hi, a massage therapist recently cracked my neck, it only worked on left
side and was fast, there was slot of tension in my neck and occipatal area
at back of head, after crack there was an improvement in my head
position and posture but the next morning whenever I
stand up I get an intense painin my forehead which slowly releases or if I
bend down the pain is in the occipital area and my head feels generally
stuffy but my neck dies feel looser and straighter  least left side

Answer
Alison,

First of all, why are you allowing a massage therapist to manipulate your neck?  I would never allow a lay person to do such a thing. Massage therapists, in this country, are trained in muscular massage therapy, and not in high velocity joint manipulative techniques.

Second, there is really no question above, but I am going to assume that you are wondering why you are getting head pain after manipulation.

It sounds to me that the manipulation was quite intense. Severe, intense cervical spine manipulation can cause muscle straining. It is possible that you are suffering from muscular injury following the manipulation.

You must watch for any neurological symptoms, such as numb/tingling sensations in the arms/hands or in half the face. Dizziness could also be a danger sign.  If you have any neurological symptoms, you should go to the emergency room.

I would NOT allow any further cervical spine manipulation until you heal and certify no significant damage.
