Question
My 5yr old daughter started to complain about neck pain after fall at the play ground nearly 3 months ago. Gradually, she started having pains in the sole of her feet, hands, shoulders alongwith tingling sensations on the limbs. She also reported blurred vision at times. She also complains of pains on the cheeks and loss of taste. She had an Xray done  followed by an MRI that revealed 1) mild head tilt to the left,2)Slight reversal of Cervical Lordosis 3)Mild Levoscoliotic curvature of cervical
spine and 4)apparent congenital fusion of C2 and C3 and . It also stated that Spinal Cord is normal.

We shall be obliged , if you let us know, what could be the treatment for this? How long does it generally take to cure such ailments?

Thanks and Regards
Jayeeta

Answer
Thank you for your question. The symptoms you are describing are related to the brainstem. You can see the cause and effect as you describe your story. Your best bet is to get her an Upper Cervical evaluation as soon as possible.

From what you describe it sounds as though she has a problem in her upper neck, it sounds as though she has had an impact that has caused one of her top two neck bones to misalign irritating the brainstem and or upper spinal cord. This is the best website to find an Upper Cervical Doctor www.UpperCervicalCare.com.

As far as time that depends on the extent of the injury.
