Question
I'm not sure where to start. I think I have two different things going on. First, my son and I were goofing around and he pulled on my arm -at the wrist- (said it was a wrestling move called the armbar). Anyway, that was about a month ago and I am still having pain in my arm, find it difficult to lift some things like I use to. I'm also having very frequent numbness/tingling in my arms, and hands - along with off and on low backpain. Unsure what to do.

Answer
Vickie,
The first step would be to get an X Ray done of the hand and wrist to rule out any type of fracture or dislocation.  Then an X-Ray of your Cervical Spine and possibly an MRI of your C-Spine as well, to look for any possible alignment problems and/or Nervous system involvement.  I would like for you to send to me any pictures that you take so I can get a better look at this and let you know if I or any other Doctor could help you.  Please email any pictures and reports to:  [email protected]
