Hi!

My mother is 65 years old. She tripped over a wire and fell. although she wasn't badly hurt,yet her ankle twisted (left one). The problem is since then he left foot is swollen. We tried to apply ointment, and aloe paste but in vain. If she happens to walk a lot then the swelling increases. There is no chronic pain, just a tingling or a tiny pinch feeling that comes and goes. She fell like, 2 weeks back....

hoping for your advice and recommendations.

I thought I sent an answer to this one already. Forgive me. Anyway, because there is swelling and a tingling sensation your mother could have a hairline or very tiny fracture of the ankle or foot. Since it has been two weeks and no better, I highly suggest that she get an xray from a doctor. In the meantime for pain, she can use ibuprofen if she isn't allergic to it, every six hours to keep it in her system. That works better for this kind of pain.
