Question
my chiro adjusts me and my physio manipulates me?  what is the differnece, they feel the same, though they do them a little differenetly.  neither has explained what they are doing and why,  what are these for and what do they do to me?
thankyou

Answer
Jason:

Chiropractors have many different ways to perform manipulation while physical therapists tend to use the same method but if they are using comparable techniques there is no difference.

It was originally believed that manipulation was useful for restoring motion to the spine in restricted areas, however we now know that this doesn't happen.  So the only legitimate use of manipulation is to relieve acute low back pain and vertigo originating from the neck.
