Question
Dr. Burnham in his 3/31/2004 answer re: Graston Tech mentioned HIO Method Chiropractic; however, he didn't tell what HIO means.  Please detail along with anything regarding Graston and / or Cox Flexion.

Many Thanks,   Tom

Answer
Hi Tom,

HIO is an outdated, dogmatic throw back of unscientific origins of Chiropractic. It means "Hole in One". The name speaks for itself, I personally don't know anyone that even does it, much superior techniques have been developed in the last 100 yrs. I wouldn't go to anyone that even did this procedure. If you need to find a qualified DC, I'll help you. Sounds like you talked to a 'straight' DC that graduated 50 yrs ago.
