Question
Greetings....I have been experiencing numbness in the right leg between the knee and hip joint.  The numbness only exists on the top and side of my leg (not the inside or back).  I have been having this issue for about a month and the symptoms sometimes get worse while sitting but the numbness does not totally go away not matter what I try to do to get relief.  No other symptoms and no pain exists other than the slight ache in my leg from the numbness.  Also, I do not have back problems and cannot recall an injury that might have caused it to start.  I am a 35 year old male with no medical problems (yet).

Thanks for your time!

Answer
Hi Rich,

This is certainly a nerve issue.  The spine is often the source (whether it hurts or not) but second most likely source is from pressure as the nerve exits the muscle of the abdominal wall.

A chiropractic evaluation can help you ferret out the underlying cause.  We can help the causes above, as well.

Hope this helps.
