Question
Hi, iv been xperiencing pain in my upper left arm probably since i was 10, i am now 21, it sort of comes and goes, im certain its nt relatd 2 the heart as i have not experienced any of the other symptoms...most people have told me its probably because i sleep on it...but later i realised that that cannot be as the pain sometimes comes when i am just sitting or when there is no movement in my arm for 5min...the pain is sometimes unbearable and i am unable to move my arm...is this something to be worried about? n what can i use to prevent this pain or ease it?

Answer
Hi zaahidah,

Usually this type of thing is just an unpredictable intermittant nerve malfunction.  No special significance.  And probably no particular diagnosis.

At times it may be from some activity or degenerative change in the spine that a chiropractic doctor can help alleviate.  Even after so many years.  It is worth investigating.

There is the remote possibility that something more pathological is going on.  I can't tell without an exam

My best advice is to consult with a chiropractic doc and rule out the bad stuff while seeing if they can help with safe natural chiropractic care.

Hope this helps.
