Question
Does Plantar Fastitis cause calf and ankle ache

Answer
Hi Connie,

Generally it does not.  The classic presentation of plantar fascitis is pain along the bottom (planter side) of your foot, especially at the heel and along the arch, and with pain being the worst first steps out of bed in the morning.   If you are struggling with these symptoms and gimping around on the foot, it can lead to other things feeling achy, like your ankle or leg.  If you only have ankle or leg pain, then it is not plantar fascitis.  It could be a whole host of other conditions.  I couldn't possibly narrow it down without knowing a lot more about you, e.g. age, medical history, daily activities, etc...

'Hope this answers your question.
