Question
QUESTION: I completely shattered a ligament in my shoulder in a car crash.  I had an operation and had to have an artificial ligament pinned to my bone i think the collar bone and something to do with the clavicle bone.  I presume I have muscle damage as well.  My question is how long might it take to heal?  Thanking you in advance.

ANSWER: Hello Allison,

Depending on the damage done to the joint and soft tissues you looking at 3-6 months. Physical therapy and a excellent diet will speed your recovery.

QUESTION: Sorry I forgot to say I am taking seven seas joint care projoint with glucosamine plus omega 3 will this help or is it a waste of time.  many thanks. allison

Answer
Hello Allison,

Yes, supplements definitely help the healing process.  You may want to check on the joint care product to see the molecular size of the glucosamine, 10,000 Daltons is preferred.  If the molecular size is larger the product may not be absorbed.
