Question
Thanks in advance.  About a week ago I was trying to wake board and I felt my chest near my upper rib cage pop and it took my breath away.  Now every time I do something real fast like twisting, reaching or even sneezing in a weird postion it will pop with serious pain.  Then if I wait a few seconds it feels like it pop back and it feels OK.  I think it might be a cartilage tear but not sure.  What do you suggest?

Answer
Dear Matt,

From what you described, it may be that your rib is out or sprained, therefore, the surrounding muscles might be spasm but they are not strong enough to hold the rib in place.  My suggestion is to consult a chiropractor who may be able adjust the rib to allow it to heal properly.
