Question
After falling down 2 flights I am left with radiculapathy of the L4L5 chronic neck and back pain a partial rotator cuff ,crushed right knee patella, and now after 6 years rib pain with lung inflammations even after CTscans Xrays and MRI's what has been missed and why?

Answer
Annette

Obviously you have been through a very traumatic incident/accident and have suffered with multiple injuries. First and foremost if you have had the MRIs and the Cat Scans that is a good starting point. These types of diagnostic tests are excellent for locating fractures, tears, herniations and a myriad of traumatic pathologies. After six years I doubt these types of tests will find anything new that happened six years ago. How ever sequential studies could in fact identify rhat a condition is getting or is worse. This why second tests are done and to make sure nothing was missed.

Please realize that these teste have pretty much identified the MACRO traumas that you have endured. Now let's think about this the world's greatest Orthopedic Surgeon can not help certain types of trauma to the spine called SUBLUXATION only a Chiropractor can. First the surgeon is not trained to find and diagnose Subluxation and secondly a preponderance of Medical Doctors do not even believe in the Subluxation.

Therefore I would gather up all of your medical records and have them in hand and I would also write up in detail what happened all the medical treatment you have had it's outcome(good orbad) list the doctors you have seen, the procedures you have had and the meds you have taken. The more detail the better. Then I suggest you ask around and find a competent Chiropractor and call and make an appointment. I would let the receptionist know that yopu would like a consultation and present ALL of you records and your history. This will streamline your appointment and the chiropractor can concentrate on looking for the mecjanical problems that you may have causing you the symptoms you have.

To me your history that you given for this question seems that there are obvious and multiple reasons as to why you should have a chiropractic work up. Right away I would asess your mid back and ribs that may be causing your rib pain and breathing difficulties which in turn may be causing the lungs to be inflammed. Let alone all the othe mechanical problems that seem to abound in your situation.

Annette I want you to understand that I did not say quit your medical doctor nor did I say that chiropractic will heal all your ailments. Howeve I did say you should get a chiropractic work up and if in fact you have mechanical problems a competent chiropractor will help you with these problems. But for now I say get to a DC and the sooner the better.
