massage techniques for slipped disc in neck

Question

Do you know exactly how and what/technique massage you should be using to cure a slipped disk/pinched nerve?, also what parts should you be massaging, Should you be sore around the bottom of your neck after initial massage?

the following are my MRI results:

MRI:
c5-6: degenerative disc signal 2mm posterior disc bulge extending greater to the left.  Mild neural foraminal narrowing on the left predominantly secondary to bulging intervertebral disc.

C6-7, C7-T1:  Mild straightening of the normal cervical lordosis.

Answer
Ron,

Any massage technique that helps decrease disc compression while enhancing the natural lordotic curve would more than likely be helpful. You definitely can be sore after a massage session but that is not a 100% response assess each massage and progress to the next session only if you and your massage therapist agree that you are improving.

I highly suggest a Chiropractic consultation.
