Question
Hi,

I was looking for some insight of what might be going on with my knee. For the last few years I can be either at work, standing or even sitting down and my knee will start aching then if i don't bend or flex it, the pain starts getting worse. If I'm up walking for a long amount of time it will pop and there have been times its actually caused me to fall because it fills as though it gave out.. but it does just pop once it will pop numerous times. I'm 27 years old and active but this is starting to slow me down. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Answer
Have an evaluation with on orthopedic surgeon or a sports chiropractor.  An examination and xrays are needed. With the knee "giving out" it may have internal damage, an MRI is what I would suggest. You are a young guy so degenerative arthritis should be minimal, so I would lean towards ruling out internal structural issues.
