Question
In the past three years I have had pain in the bak of my left shoulder.  I went to a chirporacter and now I have pain in my left hip and I still have pain in by shoulder.  I have to tighten my hip to fell better.  And my shoulder has a crackling sound when I make a circle with my arm.  What should I do and what is the medical term for a shoulder specialist or a  hip specialist.  I should also mention that I went to a orthopedic and they basically sent me to a phyiscall therpaost, which I tried and it did no good.  Where should I go from here and what is the name of a hip and shoulder specialist?  Thank you

Answer
Bad news is the name for a hip/shoulder specialist is an orthopedic doctor.  I don't know what the chiropractor you were seeing was doing but I treat shoulder issues most every day.  It sounds like your shoulder is displaced slightly forward.  If all your chiropractor does is adjust your spine, they are not going to be able to help you.  I suggest seeking another chiropractor that will adjust your shoulder.  Call around and ask if that doctor works on extremities.  I am a member of a group of chiropractors located all over the U.S. and we treat every joint from head to toe.  If you are interested, go to www.sorsi.com to located a doctor near you.  I am in St. Paul, Minnesota and would be happy to see you.  If you have any questions or concerns or need further help locating a doctor, please email me.
