screw & plate pain relief

Question
I have heard about people using WD-40 to relieve pain in joints and was wondering if perhaps the WD-40 idea would help with the stiffness in my neck at the surgical plate location. If you have any ideas on this treatment or perhaps another form of treatment to ease the pain of a stiff neck associated with the vertebrae fusion surgery. Thank you

Answer
I am sorry, but I help to keep patients from having to get this surgery in the first place.  Once there are plates and screws put in the Cervical Spine there is little that I can do to help so I do not have many patients with that situation.  This question may be better answered by someone else who manipulates the entire spine.  Best of luck to you.
