Question
I have been trying to find information about a lab test I had draw.  My Rheumatologist has been trying to diagnose me with an autoimmune disease but I don't feel like he is helping me.  Do you know what a high SSA lab level indicates?

Answer
This website explains ANA blood tests, used for diagnosing autoimmune diseases.  There's an explanation of the SSA, used in diagnosing Sjogren's Syndrome, about halfway down:
http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/ana/test.html

The hallmark symptom in Sjogren's is dry mouth and dry eyes, but it can also cause fatigue and joint pain. You can read more about Sjogren's Syndrome here:

Hope this helps!
