Question
Last year the doc said I had sciatica and to take Ibroufen for the muscles to relax. This worked up to a point. That was about a year ago. Now every morning when I wake up I can hardly move because the base of my spine just doesnt move. It is all tensed up and painful, after about 10 minutes the pain eases off, but, for example, if I cough I get a shooting pain in the base of my spine, also if I stand for 15 mins or so my back really stiffens up and is painfull. I only take Ibroufen now when desperate. I am a 40 yr old female, fairly fit and I have tried new beds as well. Can you help please?
Thanks Jools x

Answer
Hi Jools,

Ibuprofen or any other pill won't fix the herniated disc you have causing the sciatica. There is only one proven fix for this condition, it's called flexion/distraction F/D for short.

Find a Chiro in your area that has the F/D tables and get it decompressed before it gets worse or permanent. Let me know if you need more help!

Good Luck!
