Pain 7 Months After TR

Question
I have been experiencing pain in the groin area, the middle buttock area and
down the front of the thigh - to about 5 inches above the knee.  This pain
occurs only with movement - when walking.  When I am at rest, there is no
pain.  Advil seems to help some but I am concerned about continuing to take
Advil since I have had high blood pressure since the surgery (it was low prior
to the surgery).  I've had xrays and a bone scan, both of which my doctor
says are normal.  He says that my pain is a mystery and wants me to take
Advil on a regular schedule to see if the Advil helps (just recently started
taking it again).  He doesn't want to see me again until my 1 year checkup -
4 months from now.  He thinks its soft tissue and thinks that the implant
itself is fine.  In other words, it seems like its "take an aspirin and call me in
the morning."  Do you have any idea what might be causing this type of pain
when walking?

Answer
Have you done something against your hip precautions, or exercised too much?  A soft tissue injury should heal over a few weeks, but if you still have pain, please go back to your doctor.  Also be careful with the amount of Advil you take, it can cause stomach problems when taken in excess.
