Question
I have reoccurring on my medial calcaneus of my right foot. The pain is felt most when I stretch my calf or put pressure on it. The area I'm describing is seems to be close to where the tibial nerve branches off toward the calcaneus. The pain seems more like a crushing feeling than I nerve type sensation.

Answer
Sorry for the name mispell,
Dear Rick,

This Orthopedic Chicago Podiatrist located in West Loop 60661,Roscoe Village 60618, Ukranian Village 60622, Elmhurst 60126 & Bartlett 60103 says...
Sounds like a form of plantar fasciitis or injury of the medial calcaneal tubercle. Rest will help in both cases. Gentle stretching of the Achilles should be good. If you can't do-then have it checked out a little sooner. Best bet is to see a Board Certified Podiatrist-who can usually x-ray it or ultrasound diagnose it on the spot & give you same day relief, treatment plan & prognosis

Hope this helps & Good Luck!
