New Moms Guide: How to Avoid Back Pain?

Usually back pain induced due to pregnancy reduces after delivery but improper posture may lead to a prolonged back pain. So here are the steps that you could take to minimize that excruciating back pain during the pregnancy.

First and foremost, if you have had a caesarean section, then do consult your obstetrician or wait for at least 6 weeks before you start exercising for back pain relief.

However, if it has been a normal delivery then you should attempt to return back to your normal weight by six weeks. Do remember, extra weight always puts a strain on the back and this holds true even for young and overweight individuals. So shed those extra pounds.

Try and make the best possible use of the times the baby is sleeping. You can do some stretching exercises to restore hip and back flexibility then.

To pick up the child from the floor do not bend down from your waist. Instead use your knees and then only pick up the kid. In fact, whenever you are trying to lift the baby, bend down towards him rather than pulling him towards yourself. Use a front pack to carry the child while you are walking instead of holding it in your arms.

Sit in an upright chair rather than a soft couch while nursing.

Follow these steps to get back in shape super-fast. And you will love yourself for it.
