Pregnant women and the females who have had children are more susceptible to back pain. Office goers with sedentary jobs as well as people who sit long hours in front of computers will be more prone to lumbar pain. You should not run away from back pain and instead try to find the causes for back pain.

That said the preferable method to avoid lumbar pain or to cure lumbar pain is to find out the root cause of back pain. The biggest cause of back pain is poor posture and the second most common cause is osteoporosis.

Ergonomics means the way the work area is constructed and how we fit into it. In most cases people will sit on chairs that are not designed properly in turn putting a lot of stress on the back. In osteoporosis the bones get weak because of lack of calcium. The brittle bones will cause the back bone to go very weak and brittle.

If you have sedentary job then make sure that you get up and walk every half hour. Also make sure that you have a chair that is ergonomically designed. If the chair is not ergonomically designed then you will have to make sure that at least you get the lumbar support for the chair. Now if you drive long distances then make sure that you have a lumbar support for your car seat.

For people with weak back bones it is better to use a lumbar support belt. This belt will provide assistance to the lumbar or the lower back region and it will be able to support the weight of the body. To make the back bone strong you can attend physiotherapy sessions. After consulting your doctor you can start visiting the gym and do some back exercises to get increase the strength of the lower back muscles.

For curing back pain you just need little care and precaution. This will go a long way to ease the back pain and any related lumbar support problems. Exercise and physiotherapy are two other things that you can do to avoid the back pain. Hit the gym and focus more on back related exercises to give strength to the back.
