Question
Hi,

I started experiencing my left pinky tip falling asleep. It has been like that for about 3 or 4 days now. It feels like it is spreading to my entire pinky. Do you know what could be causing this?

Thanks.

Answer
Hi Hilary,

Yes I do, it's an ulnar neuropathy coming from nerve entrapment in the elbow (the part that is sensitive when you hit your funny bone). This is from repetitive use of externally and internally rotating of the forearm possibly related to work or trauma.. Oddly, I suffer from the same thing from my job, the fix is ice on the elbow and resting it as much as possible. This will last awhile so be patient.

Good Luck!
