Can you please inform me as to the possibility of a whiplash injury causing atrial fibrillation ? My GP here in Scotland says NO, but I remember reading an article in the press (by a Doctor) saying that it was. Thank you in advance.

I have never heard of any association.    There is not a shred of literature on it.   But that doesn't mean it's not possible, 'just that there's no documented cases in the literature and I found no literature even close to supporting the notion of whiplash and atrial fib'.     You can plunk around the literature yourself using Google Scholar, one of the Google options.
