Question
QUESTION: what is the easiest way to get rid of a mouth sore?
ANSWER: Hi Veronica and thanks for writing,

Can you please describe the pain to me:

-when did it start?

-is there any discoloration?

-anything you can tell me will help me guide you,

Thanks,

QUESTION: It started about April the 4th, and it was caused because I bit my lip but now it is a sore and I want to get rid of it because I can hardly eat because it hurts. No there are no discolorations. There is only one sore

Answer
Hi Veronica,

My two best guesses are that either:

1) your bite has become infected for which you should apply a topical antiseptic (which you can pick up over the counter at any pharmacy), or

2) you had a swelling previously which caused you to bite it in which case you need a doctor to examine it to diagnose it and suggest appropriate treatment.

I hope this helps and I wish you good health,

Margot
