Question
Do you have any idea how teenagers and adults that have been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder can get assistance to function in society? A great number of school dropouts and juvenile delinquents have the inability to function in a world that is organized and has laws.  ADHD students have a medical condition that makes it difficult to obey the rules and follow directions, so they end up in jail or on the streets.

Answer
Hi Gloria,

That's a great question, however people with ADHD each face unique challenges, so it would be difficult to answer your question in a specific way.

Children can get support through their school districts, and adults should consult with their family physician. The best place to start however is education... do lots of reading on the subject.

I think this site is a good place to start looking for some ideas.

Thanks for the question, Gloria. I hope I've been of some help.
