Question
I was wondering would you please tell me:  can a person feel depressed in a
wheelchair?

Thanks

Answer
My area of expertise is Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, not disabilities in general.  However, with respect to depression, anyone can experience depression.  Depression can be brought on by experiences that promote a feeling of loss or sadness - i.e. moving from being able-bodied to using a wheelchair, death of a loved one, etc.  It can also be caused by biochemical issues - such as chemical imbalances or vitamin D deficiency.
