Question
Dear Dr. O'Brien,
I am a recent graduate of a Chiropractic College.
I currently have two job offers I need to choose.
Could you give me your opinion which one could make me a better doctor, please?

1)  28 years old family practice, salary, has training period, relaxing atmosphere, no reports needed(has billing dept.),exam, treatment, X-ray, suburban

2)  a young 99% PI/WC practice, salary+ % , no training period-"find, do, and learn yourself by asking", must do many PI/WC reports(learn how by doing), exam, treatment, urban

Thank you for your time.

Answer
Hello Dr. Han,

I think you may learn more from the family practice clinic.  The PI/WC clinics are usually a faster pace and do not spend a lot of time with their patients.  With a 28 year old practice you will be doing PI/WC reports too.  You may want to spend a couple weeks with their billing department to learn how it works just in case you want to go out on your own.

Hope the information helps with your decision.

Dr. Brendon O'Brien D.C.
