Is it right doctor?

Question
Hi!
Two things are bothering me during last few month:
1. The upper neck muscle tension that limit my head movement especialy when I face it down (real pain in the neck).
2. I have a pain in the hand muscles (from elbow joint down to the hand) on both arms. And now even worth with my left hand.

The question is: is this an arthritis?
Is chiropractic is a right doctor to go?
Or I need somebody else.
Is it a climate (I live in Brooklyn NY) that makes me sick?

Thank you,

Regards,

Vladimir

Answer
Vladimir,

Thanks for the questions.

It definitely sounds like you are having some "pinched nerve" symptoms for which a chiropractor would be the right choice first.  It is not likely arthritis in the hands, but instead nerve pressure from the neck on the nerves that extend down to the arms and hands.  The chiropractor should be able to relieve this pressure and resolve this problem.

Usually, the climate won't cause problems like this, but they certainly can cause an increase in arthritis pain.

I hope this helps.
