Question
I have a bulging discs in L2, L5 of my lower back. I have had chronic hamstring issues and any attempt to return to physical activity regardless of how slow the rehab, eventually ends in a reoccurance of the hamstring injury. Im due for a epidermal cortisone injection in a few weeks. is there anything else I can do to help the back restore its normal function and/or prevent the condition from worsening?

Answer
You may, in addition to your current treatment, want to visit a chiropractor to have your alignment evaluated.  A misalignment in the hip region can cause the hamstrings to tighten, as well as tight quadriceps, or tight psoas/iliopsoas.  A good stretching program in addition to your above treatment should help immensely.
