aching neck and shoulders

Question
I have been going to the chiropractor 2X a week for the past 5 weeks because of chronic neck and shoulder aching.  But the aching seems worse since I have started.  Do the muscles have to shift while you are getting adjustments and cause more pain?  How long does it take to know if it is helping or not.  And I'm feeling more tired.  Does that mean I need to rest more?

Answer
Sharon,

I apologize if you did not receive my previous answer..so if this is a duplicate answer remember all experts contacted me to re answer.

I sincerely hope you have discussed your response to chiropractic treatment with your chiropractor. The chiropractor needs to know these facts pure and simple with no sugar coating. They are in better situation to re-evaluate you than I am to just answer a question. If you wee my patient and you informed me of these reactions I would thank you for letting me know and then i would re-evaluate your health condition and change what I was doing. I don't think that adjustments should cause you more pain as time progresses and I also opine that you have had sufficient treatment to have a more positive response. Please inform your chiropractor of your reaction and ask to be re-evaluated and re-set your health attainment goals.

The fatigue you are experiencing is probably due to the amount of time you have been in pain.

I hope this sheds some light on your condition.

Sincerely
