Answer
Dear Christine,

I am so sorry to hear of your suffering! I can only imagine how frustrated you must be.  Here are a couple of ideas that I have had about you and your condition:

First, vertigo or dizziness is a condition that can be caused by a very large number of medical conditions. These include, but are not limited to: Ear problems, heart problems, hormonal problems, lung problems, metabolic conditions, neck problems, brain disorders, blood disorders, anemia, hypertension, postural hypotension, benign positional vertigo, etc.  It sounds like you might have undergone some diagnostic tests in the past, but if you feel that you have not been tested sufficiently for causes of vertigo, perhaps your first step should be to consult your primary care physician to try and come up with a solid diagnosis. If your medical doctor, after performing all tests (blood, heart, MRI, etc) then perhaps a referral to an Eyes, Ears, Nose, and Throat medical specialist is in order.

Second, as per the neck pain. I assume that you are being adjusted by a chiropractor, correct?  Has the chiropractor evaluated you for the underlying cause of your neck pain? If your chiropractor has treated you for quite a bit of time and you have not obtained the results that you desire, ask him/her to re-evaluate your condition and to give you an updated diagnosis and plan.  If he/she is at a loss, perhaps it is time to visit a Neurologist (if you have pain spreading into your arms/hands or shoulder blade region) or Pain Medicine Specialist (if you feel that you have a good understanding of what is causing your neck pain.)

If I were you, I would probably go the route of seeking help from an MD neurologist. This type of doctor could rule out nerve diseases that your medical doctor and chiropractor might miss.

Hope that you find this helpful! Good luck!
