Upper arm pain

Question
I broke my leg 1 yr ago. After using crutches for several months, I began experiencing mild intermittent pain in my upper arms. I've been off crutches for 6 months, but the pain has been getting worse and quite unbearable at times. I initially thought the pain was from using crutches, but evidently not. Even raising my arms to put on a jacket can be quite painful. I noticed recently that it didn't hurt so bad if I moved my neck one way or another. Are there any exercises you recommend to alleviate the problem? Thanks

Answer
Ed,

Exercises can't help you here.  What you are most likely suffering from are the damaging effects of spinal subluxation.  This occurs when the bones of your spine get locked in to the wrong position and interfere with the nervous system that it was once protecting.
The only way that I know of to correct this is to go to an Upper Cervical Doctor of Chiropractic to have it looked at and ideally corrected, or you can try to fall down the stirs and hope that you land just right.
The choice is up to you, but you need an outside force to help your body to once again function properly and I highly suggest that you use the services of an expert that is trained to do just that.
