Question
July of this year I had surgery for my hip labral tear. Now recently i get hip pain and weakness in my hip that prevents me from walking. Then I hear a pop in my hip and the pain and weakness go away.

Answer
Anna,   Go back to the doctor and have them check it out if he/she is not aware of your recent problems.

Could be the fact that the surrounding muscles are not doing their job and need to be strengthen to help hold things in place.

This is what I suspect may be the cause. Did you get some physical therapy after the surgery? Where you shown some exercises to do to help heal and secure the area?

Richard Haynes
Punta Gorda, Florida.

PS: Use a cane right now if you are not until you see the doctor that did the surgery. Remember the cane goes on your strong side not the operated side. That should help you with your walking and make it somewhat easier.
