PainFree Acupuncture St Kilda Melbourne Now

Who are you?

I’m Matt Roessler, Doctor of Chinese Medicine and founder and creator of the Sleep Still Formula and Pain-Free Acupuncture Melbourne St Kilda. I specialise in treating stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, sports injuries, back and neck pain, digestive issues, women’s health, pregnancy support and addiction.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is part of Chinese Medicine which is a medical system that has been around for over 3000 years.

In a very basic concept, there are channels in our body that carry energy, information and nutrients to our cells so that they function properly.

Sometimes these pathways become partially or fully blocked which means that certain cells and organs aren’t getting the right amount of energy, information, and nutrients. This causes the cells and organs to malfunction and our body falls out of balance.

We simply use acupuncture to stimulate certain points that unblock these pathways so that the cells and organs can start to function properly again and our body can become balanced and healthy again.

What is Pain-Free Acupuncture Melbourne St Kilda?

Pain-Free Acupuncture is a style that I formed when I was doing my 4 year acupuncture degree course at Endevour College. They’re teaching was great but I felt that we didn’t need to cause pain in order to get an effect.

So I started using energy work to stimulate the needles rather than twisting and turning the needles which is what causes all the discomfort and pain. What I found was that people were actually achieving faster results than before and as side-benefit people found themselves extremely relaxed during and after my treatments.

When I finished my degree in chinese acupuncture I went and sought out more training in Japanese acupuncture. And what I found was that the techniques that I had taught myself were very similar to what Japanese acupuncture taught as well. So that was a nice affirmation that I was doing the right thing.

And Japanese acupuncture isn’t something that most people know about (including acupuncturists) it’s a speciality that I sought out to further my training and skills.

Does it hurt?

Traditional chinese acupuncture, which is the acupuncture that most know in Australia, has been known to cause some discomfort or even pain. The whole point of my style in Pain-Free Acupuncture is to give people a treatment without pain because I’m not a fan of pain myself.

And I what I find is that people are extremely pleasantly surprised at how relaxed they become during and after the treatment that now, I have lot of people who just come in for a check up because they know it’ll do them a world of good and they’ll get to relax.

What does acupuncture treat/What do people come in for?

I see a whole variety of different people and conditions but I tend to specialise in stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, sports injuries, back and neck pain, digestive issues, women’s health, pregnancy support and addiction.

And quite often these people have tried other forms of treatment and are pleasantly surprised when we can achieve very simple and effective results for them.

How much does it cost, is it covered by HICAPS?

At Pain-Free Acupuncture Melbourne St Kilda the initial treatment is an investment of $98 and regular sessions after that are $80. And if you have private health that covers acupuncture you can claim some from us.

In fact we have a HICAPS machine here which you can swipe your private health card through and claim instantly on the spot which means you’ll only have to pay the gap payment.

Why have you become the most sort after Acupuncturist in Melbourne with tv and radio interviews?

Haha I don’t really know. If I was to guess its because I’m the only Pain-Free Acupuncturist in Melbourne and people, just like me, hate pain, and I guess finally people have found someone who’s passionate about helping them get better, and we do get fast results and therefore I’m blessed with a very busy clinic.

What would you say to people wanting to get treatment?

What would say is If you need help with anything feel free to call us directly today and I can answer any questions you have and help you find a time that suits you. It’s my passion to help people and I look forward to helping you.
