Question
I have had hip pain for about 3 years.went to chiropacter for over a year...did help relieve pain some.believe to be coming from syatic nerve.About 3 months ago my knee started to become stiff and ached.I stated to go back to my chiropacter and the pain is  all but gone in my hip ,but my knee is so painfull all the time  it is becoming all but unbearable...  I can hardly bend my knee and it is unbearable if i happen to bend it much . the pain is on the inside and back of my knee... not the knee cap  or bone .. can barley ..put any pressure on it ... I work 4 to 5 days a week  8 hour days  on my feet.... doesn't help things .... but it has been 2 months and chiropactic care doesn't seem to be helping my knee as of yet.   Do you have any suggestions?  thank you.  Kim        P.S. I have taken vicodens  and 800 mg. Ibrophen..... the latter of the 2 helps some..

Answer
Kim,

Thanks for the question.  If you have now been receiving chiropractic care for 2 months, then I don't believe that it is going to be your answer.

I see tremendous results with even the worst of knee problems with acupuncture.  Normally I would treat a severe knee condition 6-12 sessions with resolution of the knee pain.

I do feel that an MRI is in order with the pain and the length of time you have been experiencing the pain at this point.  I would advise you to ask your chiropractor to refer you for an MRI to determine why the knee is hurting so bad.

God Bless,

Dr. Boss
