Question
I've taken my daughter to numerous neurologists, etc., and have now sought the assistance of a chiropractor for her hemiplegic migraines. I believe the doctor to be competent (based on notoriety in the field) and compassionate, however, it is difficult to tell if I am on the short end of a hard sales pitch or just feeling the anxiousness of some one who is truly concerned for my daughter's well-being. I am also concerned as a single parent that this is a financial obligation not within my means to accept. My foremost concern is for my daughter, however, and I am also wondering which is the greater risk, seeking this professionals assistance or walking away from it.

Answer
Cathy,

Thanks for the question. I definitely recommend chiropractic treatment for your daughter. I have seen many, many patients with the same diagnosis that have done wonderfully with chiropractic care.  I also understand your concern.  I have a few questions for you to answer that will provide me with more information so I can answer you better.

How old is your daughter?

How long has she had these problems?

What treatment has been provided?

What kind of treatment plan has the chiropractor recommended?

Has she had any chiropractic treatment so far?

If so, how has she responded?

Let me know this information and you can send it to [email protected] and I would be happy to answer your questions.
