Question
Hi,
Five days ago I was walking down the road about 5 minutes down the
road i started getting a stitch under the bottom right side of my ribs. Then as
I carried on walking it started getting worse, hurting more, now its got really
worse initially I thought it was after I had eaten or drank something but now
its almost constant, from I wake up till I get to sleep. Im finding it really hard
to even get to my doctors as sometimes i cant even walk with the pain, even
the slightest little movement can make the pain really bad sometimes even
when i take a deep breathe. My mum says it may be a eptopic pregnancy but
now it got constant the pain I need some advice. The pain is right bottom of
ribs in the middle of rib cage but more to the right.

Answer
Hi leamme,

It sounds very much like a problem with the ribs.  The muscles attached there often cause a 'stitch'.  If there is a more profound mechanical problem in the area, you will still get this muscle reaction but it does not clear up.

A chiropractic doctor can determine if there are mechanical problems that can be fixed up.  Or they can recommend another type of doc to evaluate further.

The chiropractor is a good way to start as they are conservative and may well be all that you need.

Hope this helps a bit.
