Question
Is pre-med the best major for chiropractics or Kinesiology? Do you know of any colleges in pa that teach kinesiology in Pa? Have a hard time finding one? Pre-med prepares you for the MCAT but do you need it for Chiropractic school, so is it essential?

thanks

Answer
Hi mart,

It's been a few years (decades) since I went to school.  So my info is behind.  I would say that chiropractic college is just like med school until you get to treatment.  This makes me think that pre-med is still the best prep.

The second thing I would consider is just what you've found; it is hard to find kinesiology programs.  Remember that you are usually going to be a portal of entry into the health care system.  Kinesiologist aren't.  Different world view.

My best advice is to discuss this with the schools that you might attend.

chirocolleges.org will help you contact the schools.

Or the website listed below should have a way to access to all the colleges.

Hope this helps.
