Wrist Joint Pain

Wrist joint pain is a fairly common complaint and growing more common due to the reliance on things like computers and cell phones for communication. Wrist joint pain usually starts as tingling or numbness and then progresses to aching and pain that can be so debilitating that people are unable to work or take part in recreational activities. This type of joint pain is also commonly known as carpal tunnel syndrome and it?s something that many people will struggle with at some point in their lives.

There are a few ways to deal with wrist joint pain. The most common of course is through painkillers; however, this is not necessarily the best route. The problem with painkillers is that all they do is get rid of the pain without actually addressing the problem. However, if you have to deal with the pain in a way that allows you to continue doing your daily work then getting a good painkiller is important. Make sure to get one that specifically targets joint pain, not just overall pain.

A good way to deal with joint pain is using supplements of things like glucosamine sulfate and turmeric. These supplements work by strengthening the cartilage between joints so that there is less wear and tear and thus less pain. These supplements may take you a bit of work and money since you will have to find the right one for you, but doing your research and reading reviews will greatly cut down on this time and effort.

Other things to try may include hot packs, massages, and acupuncture. These things can help pain with some people and they are either free, affordable or at least manageable. Make sure to try a range of things that may work for you in order to find a good solution to the problem.

Of course, the other best thing to do is rest the joint, but this is not always possible, especially if you have to work in an environment which puts stress on your joints. In these cases, you can use a wrist brace to alleviate the wear and tear on your wrist while you use it. You should also talk to your employer about taking more breaks or about taking a few days off in order to rest your joints.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is a fairly serious ailment for many people, especially if it is not dealt with quickly. You can deal with it though using a range of things from painkillers to supplements, resting, and even alternative medicines like acupuncture. Whatever you decide to do, it is important to do it quickly and well so that you can get back to your regular life.
