Neck Pain and Back Pain Are Not to be Neglected
9/22 18:02:15
Today, all of us have involved ourselves in the rat race of money and considerably neglected our health. We have adopted a very poor lifestyle coupled with hustle and bustle of the modern world. Mind it neck pain and back pain are not just normal symptoms that can be neglected and especially if it is persistent and does not subside with rest.
Most of the times neck pain and back pain are cause of stress and wrong posture but many of times it can be symptom of varied other serious conditions as well.

Some other common causes of back pain are excessive lifting, back muscle injury, disc disorders, strained ligaments etc. But most commonly it's our poor posture and wrong adoption of sitting habits that gives birth to back pain.

It started charging me when I started my work as a writer and would spend prolonged hours in front of the computer screen and by the end of the day my head would be literally pounding away. Like you even I used to apply some gel and pop a pill and would resume work. But I became worried when my pain started becoming worsened and more frequent. I had no option but to consult the doctor and I'm glad that I did as I discovered the root causes.

It's good to work on the computer but in the proper manner. The most prime thing is the office equipment. Comfortable office chairs and desks allow individuals to work for long hours without any back pain symptoms. But the problem does not end here. Most of us get comfortable chairs with back rests, but do not use it all. It's very vital to use the back rest while working on the computer. Proper back rest keeps the back up right straight and does not mount pressure on it.

And secondly work is important for everyone, but so is health. It's very difficult to squeeze in time for exercises and fitness activities, but unless health is perfect how long will you will be able to continue with your work. Mind it I'm not asking you to spend hours at gyms and fitness centers, but some general initiatives will make all the difference.

Try getting up from the chair in between the works, stretch your body, take a stroll around the home, drink some cool water and resume work after 10 minutes break. If possible try taking 1 hour rest, this soothes the back and as well the mind. Try going for a brisk walk, go for swimming or cycling. Moreover make it a habit to get up from your workstation when you are engaged in something else. As in when you are eating or talking over the phone. These breaks might consume some precious time of yours but ultimately they help in increasing the productively.

And despite of these measures, if the back pain and neck pain are refusing to subside, please consult a physician and take an advice.
