Inversion Tabe Therapy: Reversing Gravity & Back Pain

Back Pain Starts With Gravity!

Gravity keeps us on the planet.. but it’s also a power that puts pressure and stress on our back, and causes back pain. Standing up depends on a healthy back and that means all our back muscles, skeleton, joints and ligaments are under strain from gravity. That’s spinal compression.

Gravity

Our back is the part of the body that is most impacted by gravity. The spinal compression under gravity forces the vertebrae together and puts pressure on the discs. Add muscular imbalances that build up from our way of life and you’ve got a recipe for… back pain.

The spine's discs are a jelly cushion that absorbs shocks as we move around, run, jump sit down.. They give us suppleness to move and bend the back in daily goings-on, working, training and even just sitting. In health they stop us getting back pain from all that moving and twisting and jarring…

Gravity causes fluid to ooze out of your discs while you’re up and in action. When you’re laying down slumbering, some of the fluid soaks back into the discs.

You might not observe this but, most days you almost certainly lose up to ¾ inch in stature! What’s happening is a shrinkage of the space between the vertebrae as the discs are compressed; that’s spinal compression. With less interval between the vertebrae the nerve roots can be put under stress, and that causes back pain.

Disc Compression

The strain on the discs isn’t spread evenly along the spine. Some areas get more, due to the load of the body and tilting or twisting of your spine. Unfortunately our discs aren’t able to cope well with uneven pressure. It’s all going to become too much for them at some point and the’ll bulge out and maybe herniate. That’s when spinal compression turns to spinal damage and you might be looking at a life with chronic back pain.

Hold on don’t feel beaten, if you’re a back pain victim or you’re getting signs of trouble, like mild lumbago, stiff neck and shoulders.. This can be overturned and just a slight opening up of the gap between your vertebrae can be enough for a herniated disc to be able to pop back into alignment. That will alleviate the spinal compression, take the stress off of a compressed nerve; and bring back pain relief.

‘Introducing’ a 2000 Year Old Treatment To Reverse Spinal Compression and Do away with Your Back Pain

This old therapy that’s been brought to light is : Inversion Therapy. It’s really straightforward: it’s a way of treating back pain by reversing one of the big causes: gravity. If we can simply lessen the spinal compression and allow the discs a chance to move apart, as they do at night when we’re asleep, we can cure even long term back pain! If you have back pain for any length of time, the muscles in the region of the painful area will have become rigid, trying to hold the compressed area steady to try and stop the pain.. But that in reality just makes it worse - more compression, more stress. We need to let those muscles have chance to unwind.

Here’s where Inversion Therapy comes in. We let gravity work the other way! Turning upside down for a while, our back can un-compress. The spaces connecting the vertebrae can open up again. The discs can regain their fluid. Ruptured discs can heal and re-establish their shape… and back pain eases when the nerves no longer get pressed.

Inversion Therapy is most easily done with an inversion table.

You can just relax, lay on the table and let it gently angle you into an upturned position. This takes away enough of the pressure caused by gravity to let your spine tease open, and ease away back pain. The more you can tilt back, the more it will take away the spinal compression due to gravity. If you’ve had treatments that meant you had to lay on a flat hard bed for weeks, you’ll welcome how good it is that you can realize back pain relief with Inversion therapy in sessions of just 10 minutes.

Inversion Therapy is safe, quick and doubtless the most successful way to relax your spine and allow the spaces between your vertebrae to ease apart. This has been shown in clinical studies that you can access in reputable medical journals. And of course that separation between the discs brings relief from back pain.

Have you missed long periods of being able to go to work due to recurring back pain? One of the studies on Inversion Therapy tested 175 folks like you, who couldn’t work due to back pain. After a testing of just eight inversion treatments, no less than 155 were able to go back to work, not just part-time, but full time!

Conclusion

Spinal compression is something that affects us all.. we're all subject to gravity. At some time most of are likely to feel this: we'll get pariods of mild or even severe back pain. The damage done when our back is under stress from injury or poor posture is compounded by the very force that our spine is designed to work against: gravity. Spinal decompression therapy is highly effective in bringing relief to back pain sufferers. It's safe and inexpensive. If you're a back pain sufferer, whether chronic, or currently experiencing pain, inversion therapy tables offer a great deal in your quest for back pain relief.
