Chronic back pain is a condition that affects millions of Americans each year. Chronic pain of any kind leads to depression as high as 85% of people diagnosed with the disease. Chronic back pain can be caused by many factors and is actually one of the least understood conditions affecting millions of back pain and sciatica in the world sick. The complex and often subtle and often misunderstood chronic back pain and depression leads to its own set of conditions and consequences. The combination of depression and chronic pain often leads to total disability, with little hope for a real solution or cure.

Back pain, pain in general, in fact, often falls into one of two groups. Two types of pain are nociceptive and neuropathic pain or neuropathy. Nociceptive pain sensation is what is called nociceptors of sensory fibers. Neuropathic pain, or neuropathy is a term used to describe damage to sakit pinggang belakang nerves or nerve tissue. With nociceptive pain, is sent to the brain, indicating damage to the skin, muscles, connective tissue, such as ligaments and tendons, bones and joints, or other vital organs. Nociceptive pain can be described as a specific trauma or injury, which often improves with time and treatment. Examples of such pain is pain after spinal surgery, pain, loss, or disaster, off the tip of the foot, arthritis and pain, just to name a few. Neuropathy or neuropathic pain is usually a deep feeling, though painful, throbbing or tenderness.

The neuropathy is usually associated with back pain and sciatica, but it may also indicate damage to other areas, such as pain in the neck extends over the shoulders, arms, hands and fingers. It is believed that if the nociceptive pain is prolonged, without a clear resolution or outcome, can develop or advance in neuropathic pain. It is not uncommon that a patient is a constellation of circumstances in which both classes of both types of pain are present.

As part of nociceptive pain and neuropathy, there are gradations from mild to acute manifestation of short-term or sudden chronic illness, long-term illness. While pain is a subjective state, and classification almost impossible, we will define it as belonging to one of two basic expressions, acute and chronic. Acute pain and chronic pain are very different not only in terms of real feeling or expression, but in terms punggung sakit of what the feelings or sensations that “tells” us, as well. Acute pain usually reflects the degree of damage to a specific location on or in the body. In acute pain, there is a positive correlation, a relationship between perception and actual damages. As a result, pain is considered a protective mechanism, an adaptive response can eliminate the cause or stop the behavior, and thus stop the pain and minimize the damage. Thus, acute pain is an expression of nociceptive pain.

There are chronic back pain, with no clear causal link, pathology, or otherwise, that are so difficult to treat and leads so many of his patients with depression, weakness and disability. Depression and chronic back pain are inextricably linked, and treatment is difficult or impossible. The typical patient of chronic pain with depression also experience loss of appetite, insomnia, irritability, anxiety, and a myriad of other mental and physical illnesses, all related to return of chronic back pain. Unfortunately, at this stage of management that regularly in pain and cure patients with a fantastic range of drugs, which further aggravates the situation. Now we have a person who suffers from chronic back pain and depression, probably disabled and unable to work, and if he or she works, they have been completely marginalized by the stigma and their inability to function optimally.

The addition of the drugs used to completely undermine the victims’ pain chronic pain medications are addictive in the process. The spiral continues downward in the worsening of depression, hopelessness, loss of identity, loss of self esteem, and most likely the loss of everything around it was not important to them.

Dark enough, eh? Well, it’s not hopeless, and certainly not without a resolution. But this requires a concerted effort, including sometimes the treatment of pain down. But it can be done! More and more chronic pain patients every day looking for alternatives “back pain” or chronic treatment strategies back pain. Many people suffer from devastating and deadly complex of chronic pain and depression, as drugs are beginning to understand that the traditional pain management, with its “tokens drugs it” mentality is a black hole from which, if it is not completely liberated from the time they will completely suck the life of the individual risk, literally and figuratively.

Chronic pain, on the other hand, do not send the same message no acute pain. Nor is chronic pain of protection or adaptation, it does not satisfy any biological function is real. In fact, one might almost say that the signal is a mistake. The reason? Chronic pain, or neuropathic pain, continues to send impulses to the brain long after the event is over and there is no more soft tissue injuries to report.
