A person who goes for a walk on daily basis or who exercises a lot will have less chances of getting this disease.

Exercise can benefit a lot to people who are suffering from arthritis. In a study it was shown that approximately 53% of people who have arthritis problem do not exercise or go for a walk. Beyond exercise walking is suggested by doctors in arthritis problem. Walking strengthens muscles and joints by increase blood circulation in those parts. A person can create his own exercise program. Except walking there are many other exercises which can benefit in arthritis. Swimming or any other water exercise is also beneficial. Bicycling in slow motion builds endurance and decreases pain gradually.

If you are suffering from rheumatoid arthritis then you should start with slow and easy exercise. It is suggested that always take help from any physical therapist or doctor before starting any exercise. You can start with five minutes and gradually increase the time and speed. A regular schedule is very important otherwise exercise will not be beneficial. If you have other serious issues like heart disease or any other health problems, consult your doctor before initiating any exercise program. It is important for you to know the type and seriousness of your arthritis problem by the symptoms. Minor pain and stiffness can be reduced by regular exercise but if there is any seriousness in the condition then medication is also required. Senior patients are recommended to opt for massage.

Osteoarthritis is also known as degenerative arthritis and it is caused by sudden loss of cartilage in the joints of knees. This is the most common in the types of arthritis. Approx 8.5 million people in UK and 27 million people in USA are suffering by this condition. This disease increase over the time and cannot be cured. Some therapies can only control the condition and help with regular pain. Therapies can keep the patient active but cannot cure the disease entirely. Hands, knees, joints, back and neck are the parts of the body that are affected in this disease. In this disease cartilage is affected. Cartilage is the part of joints which connects the cushions and helps in easy movements of these joints. In a study it was shown that this is more common in females than males.

It develops after 40 years of age but it can also be seen in younger people because of obesity. It is more likely to be considered as the inevitable disease. It brings work disability and reduces activeness which is very important for the quality of life. A normal but regular pain can also be a symptom and thus it is advised to check with the trusted doctors before the pain increases. It is more common in the knees and it can also give symptoms of constipation, nausea, drowsiness, upset stomach, etc. It comes with age and gender but obesity is also one of the reasons of this disease.
