Ginger Sorbet

Ginger is well known for its healing power. It is a good remedy for nausea, digestive problem & even for arthritis. Ginger can improve the cardiovascular system. It’s a rich source of anti-inflammatory properties. It’s useful to lower the respiratory ailments, cold & allergies.

It provides an excellent relief from menstrual cramps & headache. Ginger can even lower the cholesterol level. It has also been proved that ginger is a good source of anti-cancer properties.

Ingredients:

  1. Sugar- 2 cup
  2. Lemon juice-1/3cup
  3. Freshly rasped lemon zest– 2 tsp
  4. Peeled & chopped ginger- 2 tbsp
  5. Water- 4 cup

Direction:

  • Take a heavy bottom saucepan & pour water, sugar, ginger & lemon zest.
  • Boil it on low heat for about 10-12 minutes & let it simmer for a little bit.
  • Remove from the heat, add lemon juice & stir well.
  • Take an ice cream maker & freeze the mixture as per manufacturer’s instruction.
  • Smash them into small pieces & spin in the food processor till you get the unruffled surface.
  • Again pour it in a chilled airtight container & let it get extremely chilled (for almost 45-60 minutes).
